The Suburbs as a Mission Field
September 17, 2009 | 2 Comments
One of the things I find myself continually fighting against as the pastor of a church plant in a suburban area like Frisco is the notion that mission can only take place in more urbanized areas or what we like to call "less fortunate" parts of the world. However, in this article David Fitch helps us to see that there are opportunities for mission in our own backyard, down the street, or just across town. What are your thoughts? What are some opportunities that are unique to Frisco?

the suburbs are a mission field.
the idea that wealthy christians would create zones of economic apartheid so that they can live far from the problems of the world like poverty, crime, homelessness shows how unchristian we are as a nation.
I don't think a builder can build a 100 home subdivision in which every home is 200,000-270,000 and be in the will of god. if we don't suffer for our faith, if we don't reach out to the least of these with the love of jesus, we are not living like jesus.
