Official Launch of Sunday Morning Services

January 20, 2010 | 0 Comments

This Sunday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. we will be having the official launch of our Sunday morning services at Fisher Elementary (2500 Old Orchard Drive). If you are new to our church, you may want to know a few things about our services.

At Christ Community, we will have a bold, joyful, exuberant and participatory style of worship, which is a careful blend of dignity and freedom. Our worship will strive to be to be high and majestic, yet warm and personal.

Central to our worship services is the preaching of the Bible, God's Word. For the first few weeks our pastor, Jamie Peterson, will be preaching from the Gospel of John as seek to understand more about who Jesus is and what it means for our lives.

Attire for our services is wide open. We will have people coming wearing t-shirts and blue jeans to coats and ties. Bottom line, come dressed however you feel most comfortable.

Nursery will be provided for children ages 0-4 and children ages 5-8 will be dismissed part of the way through the service for a special children’s Bible lesson. The curriculum we use with our children is from Children Desiring God with the aim of helping our children gain "a passion for the supremacy of God in all things, for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ."

This is an exciting time for our church. We hope you will come and join us this Sunday or any other Sundays in the future.
