Community Groups (CG's)

What: Regular gathering together of families to enjoy fellowship, discussion, prayer, and just share life together. This Fall, each groups discussion will be based on the book What Did You Expect? by Paul David Tripp. This unique book introduces a biblical and practical approach to those realities that is rooted in God's faithfulness and Scripture's teaching on sin and grace. "Spouses need to be reconciled to each other and to God on a daily basis," Tripp declares. "Since we're always sinners married to sinners, reconciliation isn't just the right response in moments of failure. It must be the lifestyle of any healthy marriage."

Why: We believe that the Bible teaches that there is no such thing as a "Lone Ranger" Christian; we are not meant to live the Christian life alone. One of the main ways God works to transform us is through community, which consists of living life together, praying for one another, loving one another, bearing one another's burdens, and stirring one another up toward love and good works. Through our Community Groups and other regular meetings with other Christians, the Gospel is internalized and the body of Christ is strengthened.

Below are the Community Groups planned for this upcoming Fall. If you are not assigned to one and would like to be or have questions about the group to which you have been assigned, please contact Jamie at jamie.peterson@cccfrisco.org.

Bitting/Hawter

The Bitting group is an adult only group that will be meeting at 5:00 p.m. on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of each month (September 11, 25; October 9, 23; November 13, 27; December 11). This group will meet each time at the home of Steve and Deneen Hawter (3264 Persimmon Lane).

Fisher

The Fisher group is an adult only group that will be meeting at 7:00 pm. on the Fridays preceding the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of each month (September 9, 23; October 7, 21; November 11, 25; December 9). They will be meeting in the evening at the home of Brian and Jessica Fisher (1288 Blue Lake Drive).

Gage/Riffe

The Gage/Riffe group is a group for people who wish to bring their children with them to the group meeting. They will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of each month (September 11, 25; October 9, 23; November 13, 27; December 11) at the home of Darren and Emily Riffe (12737 Flanders Drive).

Solt/Walker

The Solt/Walker group is a group for people who wish to bring their children with them to the group meeting. They will be meeting at 4:00 p.m. on the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of each month (September 11, 25; October 9, 23; November 13, 27; December 11) at the home of Dave and Misty Solt (1421 Buena Park Drive).
