Our Vision

To be captivated by the Gospel

Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” There are countless things in this world vying for our affections, but none will ever make us truly happy. The Bible teaches that the only way for anyone to be truly happy is to embrace Jesus Christ, to delight in who He is, what He has done, what He is doing, and has promised to do in the ages to come.

To be transformed by the Gospel

The Gospel not only has the power to save us from our sin, but we also believe that it has the power to change us. The Gospel is not just about having a good “fire insurance policy”, but also becoming a new person (II Corinthians 5:17), Christ living in us (Galatians 2:20), and being transformed more and more into His image (Romans 8:29; II Corinthians 3:18).

To give away the Gospel

In his book Let the Nations Be Glad, John Piper says, “Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” At Christ Community we seek to engage our neighbors and the world with the Gospel in both Word and deed so that God may work through us to draw worshippers to Himself.
